Amanda Brugel

(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in the part of Montreal called"the West Island. This part of the island known as West Island can be confusing for those who aren't familiar with its meaning. Many people believe that it's an island to the to the west of Montreal However, it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the cities of Lachine and West. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. But this is not true. Brugel lived in Courtice near Oshawa the city of Ontario. She aspired to be professional, however due to a rapid increase in her height, she outgrew all of her dancing partners. The article she wrote about her experience revealed that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. Once I outgrew male partners, that's when I gave up. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In the case of Brugel it was the guidance by her drama instructor at high school that led her to take the step she needed. The teacher suggested she try getting a part in the school's annual production. The teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the annual school production. The show was granted the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program, where she graduated from the program in 2000, earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Over the last 20 years, her work has been featured on both the small and big screen. Her work gained most attention when she won her part as Rita in the award-winning television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian cast member for the season 1 of the series, and only seen occasionally.
